While most companies are seriously gearing up for their CES 2011 bonanza, others are already starting to present some of their 2011 products, that also being the case with Lenovo, who's just outed a couple of new notebooks, models IdeaPad Y460p and Y560p.

Powered by Intel CPUs up to Core i7 pertaining to the company's Second Generation Intel Core Processor family (in other words, Sandy Bridge, although no specific hardware details regarding the CPUs of choice have been provided just yet), the 14-inch and 15.6-inch portable Pcs provide up to 750 GB HDD and up to 8GB DDR3 1333 memory, according to Engadget, allowing consumers to store more movies, music and games while enjoying enhanced-application performance.

And speaking of performance, it's also important to mention that these things leverage Lenovo's RapidDrive feature, that combines 32GB SSD and HDD capacity to speed up system performance (providing up to 33 percent faster boot up and 50 percent faster shutdown time, according to the company's own internal benchmarks and tests).

Beside the high-quality 16:9 displays, the Y460p and Y560p also pack some serious audio punch, which is made possible by the JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theater audio system.

Furthermore, the beautifully engineered notebooks come with OneKey Theater, allowing users to experience richer images and enhanced sound while watching movies with just the press of a button.

Available with a metal hairline etching exterior and the choice of two interiors, metallic grey and white, the Y460p and Y560p are designed for easy use with a one-handed hinge open feature and user-friendly ports.

Other key features include OneKey Rescue and Lenovo's VeriFace face recognition.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y460p and Y560p laptops will be available beginning January 11, 2011 (after all, the company has to wait for Intel to officially unveil the Sandy Bridge series) and will start at $849.
