To start your own design, you must select a calendar type. To create a monthly, yearly, wall, desk or pocket calendar, you just need to press the designated button. After you have chosen the appropriate type of calendar, the wizard will provide you with multiple templates to choose from.
In the last step of the wizard you will be able to choose the starting year and month. The page settings (size, resolution, width, height and orientation) can also be adjusted in this window.
After all the previous operations, the real work starts. From the main window, you will have various tools at your disposal to further polish your creations.
The application allows you to add various groups of holidays to your calendar such as national, religious or professional holidays and it comes with predefined templates for 7 countries (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and USA).
Photo Calendar Creator also features a built-in holiday editor, which will help you create a custom group of holidays to suit your region, religion or beliefs. The software provides you with over 30 templates, to change the displaying style of month and days.
If you think that’s not enough, you can edit these templates to suit your needs using the built-in template editor. Here you can modify the month header, weekday names and background until you’re satisfied with the results. You can also save this as a custom template, to use it in your future projects.
Another feature is the option to choose your calendar language. Photo Calendar Creator comes with 9 predefined languages including: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese and Russian.
If you’re making the calendar as a gift to friends abroad and their language is not listed, you can easily add translations to month and weekdays names using the built-in language editor. Here you can manually enter the default names for months and days in the desired language.
To further enhance your calendar you can add custom text messages, photos and clipart images. In text mode, you will have several editing options at your disposal. Besides font, size and alignment, you will be able to fill the text with the desired color, gradient or texture. You can also add an outline, toggle transparency level and rotate your text to fit your design.
If you want to add various photos to your calendar, or even a photo collage (available only in the registered version), Photo Calendar Creator provides you with the tools just for that. From the Photo tab you can adjust your image rotation angle, transparency, brightness, contrast and saturation.
To make this even more interesting, you can add shadows, outlines, frames or masks to your pictures. Furthermore a collection of 138 clipart images, that vary from animals to flowers, fruits, sports and various activities, are at your disposal to make your calendar more attractive.
