Batching and Watermarking Made Easy

If you're a professional working with throngs of images daily, images that you also have to watermark, then you might want to take a gander over at PhotoWatermark Pro. With this little program you're able to add watermarks quickly, easily and effectively.

The most important thing about this program is that it's bound to save you time. The program itself is packed with more goodies than you'd know what to do with.

What's Inside

PhotoWatermark Pro has a wide variety of tools. You're able to watermark, rename, resize, convert, enhance, crop or frame all in batch (One step to process large number of photos - all files in a folder and also in its subfolders at the same time).

The power of the program rests behind its capabilities, especially for watermarking. Regular watermarking includes lines, boxes, ellipses, polygons, texts, images, ages, image file info, EXIF tables, date time picture takes, camera settings, camera models, today's date and time, sequence numbers, and frame watermarks. With all these different styles, you're bound to find one that suits your needs.

You get some practical text style options as well ranging from angles and outlines to Shadow3D and gradient fill (with a few more in between). The good thing about PhotoWatermark Pro is that it supports multiple lines, symbols and image file info with each picture.

You're also able to edit your pictures along with the mass batching and watermarking options. Image manipulation is quite handy so PhotoWatermark Pro includes a range of tools for you to work with. You get a variety of image effects for image watermarks: emboss, tile, twist etc.

I thought that a good little tool for the program was its Adjustable transparency setting. This came in handy when I had to adjust my watermark since it matched itself up too well with my background picture.

I'd have to say that when you first open the program, you're going to be a little lost, well I was at least. The four window paned view plus all the tiny icons threw me off at first since I had no clue what anything did or was supposed to do. After a bit of time on with it though, you get the feel of it pretty quickly and it becomes easy and intuitive to play around with.

The left window pane is your navigation pane, this is where you choose the folder you'd like to see displayed on the bottom pane. The center and main pane shows the selected picture and finally on the right your watermark editor along with the throng of options you can apply to your pic. The main pane is automatically set on 'preview' mode, but you're able to set is as a collage, you can crop it whichever way you like and you can even search within the picture itself. If you really want, you can set a frame around the picture (although I have to say that the artwork for the frames could have definitely been better, but this isn't a framing program).

The editor itself includes your typical position allocation, horizontal/vertical border and size percentage. I like that the program set itself apart by giving you the attributes of the picture itself (name, size, make, model, etc.).

The batching part of the program is what set it apart from most of the others I've used. It takes the watermark you've selected and quickly applies it to all the pictures in a selected file. If you ever want to reuse a certain watermark, this program will even create a library so you can store everything. I should however mention that with the unregistered version, if you try and batch, you're going to get their own little watermark as a present.

The Good

The good thing about this program is that you're given a lot to work with. You can not only add watermarks, but you're able to do it in batch. You're even given image editing options which let you manipulate your picture. Overall, it's fast and effective.

The Bad

The only problem I had was the interface. For any newcomer who comes in and starts using the program, they're in for a bit of a shock. It's hard to get used to because you don't know where to start. There's a lot of functionality, but one doesn't know how to access it without thoroughly reading the manual (thank goodness for the tips).

The Truth

The truth is that this program will save you the time you need to? probably work on editing and manipulating other images. It has good options and it's an overall good application. Although it's confusing at first, you get used to running it pretty flawlessly. I just wish that they'd takeout their own watermark when I'm using the batch utility, but that's not a big deal.
