But now, thanks to this little program I've just ran into, anyone can explore this possibility.
Hypnotizing for dummies
Whether you're trying to take over the world and setup a conspiracy by hypnotizing every individual out there, or just one who wants to find out more about what's what with hypnoses, Virtual Hypnotist will help you learn more about it.
The main screen alone is so mind dazzling that will get control of your brain in just a few minutes of using the program. This is mainly a control panel from where you setup each option for your session that's about to start.
For each button and option available in the program, there is a mouse-over tip that indicates its general function. This way you know what you are doing, even if this is your first contact with a program of this type.
Just so that you don't get bored having to set up every little detail, you can choose one of the following general presets: Hypnotherapist, Hypnotherapist 2, Swinging Watch, Pendant, Kaleidoscope, Deep Sleep, Feature Test, or a more professional one: Reinduction, Trigger Induction, Hand Drop, Number Press or Success Loop.
As I've previously mentioned, these really are a combination of text, visual and acoustical elements combined together in such a way that will get your mind relaxed and ready to fall in a hypnosis state.
If you're an unpolished diamond in this field, and have your own techniques, you can save and use your own session whenever you want. The main components of a session that you can work with are the scripts, audio files, video files and 3d graphics.
The Script Maker feature enables you to create your own scripts. For this, the help menu dedicates an entire section that's meant to help you in your creating activities. All the explanations are clear and straight to the point, providing screenshot support, so that you don't make any mistakes.
In order to make consciousness altering even easier, you can use the Brainwave Synchronizer that works with binaural beats. You can configure the frequencies, toggle flashing on and off, choose colors for the flashing bars, change the binaural beat rate or even change the flashing bars' shapes (you have two bars for which you can change the shape by adjusting the width and the height).
Just to make the program even more flexible, you can use the Hypnotic Visual Maker feature that's included in the program, and create customized effects for the induction screen. You can choose from a Color tunnel, spiral, grock tunnel or a custom object. For each of these items you can set up advanced properties, such as color, shape, offset, animation, tone and other parameters.
The program supports speech recognition, so that you can interactively respond to it while in a session. You have to configure your system's speech to text engine so that it's compatible with the program (it's SAPI-4 compliant).
Also, to make the session more realistic, you can have an animated character shown on your screen. It's not like having a real-like person, but it's closer to that, rather than having nothing.
If you're a true fan of hypnosis, then you'll appreciate the HypnoChat feature that the program offers in order to have you connected to the special group that's been created for this purpose. You need to register for an AOL screen name in order to use this feature. Not only does this feature allow you to chat with other likes of you, but it also allows you to control their program, making it a "multiplayer" application.
The program uses strident colors and plays with words in such a manner that will get you sleepier and sleepier by the second, raising up the dispute between man and the machine. If you have a weaker personality, then you're bound to fall into the trance.
The good
For its profile this program does a good job. It has bright colors, audio effects and text that will get you hypnotized in no time. Good help menu, for situations when you don't seem to understand what goes where.
The bad
It doesn't matter that you've just woken up to a great sunny day or have just returned from a tough day at work, after using this program for a few minutes, your eyes will get tired and you'll have a dizziness feeling. Also, the interface is not so much user based as it is centered towards settings and options.
The truth
It's fun to play with, but don't expect miracles. If you're using it to trick that girl/boy that you like so much into liking you back, you might want to prepare for a lost battle. But if you're planning on having some fun, then exploring this program will be just the right thing for you. It's free, so give it a try!
