Selling is all about marketing. It doesn't matter if you have the worst product for sale, if you can manage to point out just the good features, and leave out the faults, the buyer will be completely controllable.

But, you don't need to fool one into believing that your product is good, when in fact it's not. The key to success is information, so if you have the greatest product on the market, but no one knows that it exists, then you won't sell anything. There are tons and tons of products out there, so managing to place your product on top of all others will get you out of the bankruptcy zone.

Millions of sellers have registered with eBay, the biggest online marketplace, and with all this selling resources in one place, one needs an assistant that will help manage the sales effectively.

Boosting up your listings

eBay Turbo Lister is such an application, and will make your selling experience both successful, and pleasant, whether you're a small business or hard core seller. It allows you to create listings on your computer, and upload them to the eBay server.

Creating listings is easy and takes little time. There are three main categories that you can have your item placed in: auction, fixed price and real estate ad.

You can setup multiple users, and use folders to organize your information better; also, you can use the activity log, making this not only a seller assistant, but a good tool for organizing your business.

Statistically speaking, sellers that use the Item specifics feature sell 15% more than those who don't use it. If you want to be a part of the latter group, it's up to you, but Turbo Lister allows you to configure your item's specifics (these are attributes that help categorize groups of items for better search criteria; for instance, an item specific for a car would be the number of doors).

The program has a high level of flexibleness, allowing you to edit any setting of an item. You can change the listing's format as many times as you want. But keep in mind that once you've uploaded your listing, you'll only be able to follow its status and not change its settings.

When creating an item you can select one of the featured eBay themes and layouts. This way you'll make sure that your auction isn't just a typical one, but one that stands up from the crowd and draws attention. The program warns you about the fact that you have to pay a fee for this feature, and provides a link to eBay's pricelist.

There are three views for this section: Design view, Html view and Preview. If you have some HTML knowledge, you can configure your listing in the Html view (this will provide better results, but there's no assistance, if you need help with tags and HTML rules). You do, however, have the possibility to include hyperlinks and images with no HTML knowledge. For this, just use the associated button for this function from the Design view toolbar.

A helpful feature is the spellchecking option that will assure you that what you've typed is exactly what you meant to say.

Also, for the listings formatted as auctions, you can use the Best offer feature, by checking the correspondent box. This is complementary to the Buy it now, and it allows your buyers to input their "best offer" so that you can end the auction early and give your item to them.

You also have the possibility to configure a set of default settings that apply to all your items. Combined with the scheduling feature, this makes Turbo Lister a tough competitor to beat.

You have the option of backing up your items by using the back-up and restore feature. If you're a big business, this means that you're selling many items at a time, and backing up all of your items would result in an ever increasing database. But this is not an issue, because you can use the Compact database feature, so that your disk space is not over occupied.

When your database grows in number of items and it becomes more and more difficult to manage, you can use the search function that will help you locate any listing in little time.

When you make your upload list, you can define the order in which you want the items to be transferred on to the eBay server by using the Move up/Move down buttons.

The program is fully compatible with the Sell Manager and eBay Picture manager. You can use pictures from the Picture manager, and you can import items from your eBay listings, or from a CSV, TXT or Mister Lister file.

The One-page Edit Panel allows you to quickly create items, by "duplicating" previously created ones. You can either upload them just as they were previously listed (for identical items, or for re-listing unsold ones), or, you can edit them and then proceed to the upload operation.

The Good

This is a great tool for listing items on eBay. You can choose what eBay server you want to set as your host, and you can select from the simplest to the most advanced options for each product that you list. The system requirements are more than permissive for nowadays conditions. Thus you'll have no problem when running the program, and you'll go through all your listings smoothly.

The Bad

There's no bad thing about the application that I can think of. Maybe a profit calculator could be included, but there is a fee calculator for each item.

The Truth

If you're an eBay member you need eBay Turbo Lister. It's easy to work with, the interface is user friendly, and you don't have to know much about anything to be able to master its commands in just a few seconds. The help menu is detailed also, giving you even more support for your sales. It's developed by eBay, so you won't have any incompatibilities when uploading listings to the server. The program auto-updates itself making sure you don't miss out on all those new features that have just been introduced in the newer versions. Go ahead and try this free software.
