Sleipnir

Web browsers have come a long way since their inception in the history of the Internet, and although there are a set of standard characteristics that most browsers feature, there still are specific aspects that differentiate one from another, especially in terms of characteristics and capabilities. Accounting for that, Slepnir aims to offer users an Internet browser that goes beyond that set of standardized features and provides a way of achieving a personalized experience, through a highly customizable feature set.

The application features a very simple design, and we were surprised to see that it does, however still manage to retain all the essential functionality. The overall look and feel gives a sense of elegance, but at the same time also capability.

One can access all of the available features using the main menu, which holds ample functionality, and it is neatly tucked in the corner of the interface, therefore maximizing visualizing space to the maximum.

One of the aspects that we really enjoyed while testing out Slepnir, was the way in which tabs are distributed and accessed. The tab system features larger, preview-style tabs, which have a greater than normal size, making them easily accessible, as well as readable.

To go with the aforementioned tab system, the application also features a subtle yet capable configuration bank, where users can adjust all the preferred parameters in order to achieve a truly personalized experience.

Having its emphasis set on design, while still retaining all the essential functionality, this browser manages to provide a pleasant Internet surfing experience, which can be easily tailored to one’s particular requirements.
