Little trick to keep Recycle Bin closer to you

In addition to the new Start menu, multiple desktops, and other features, Windows 10 Preview also comes with some subtle changes that include options to pin Recycle Bin to the taskbar for faster access.

At this point, functionality is pretty limited, so even if you pin Recycle Bin to the taskbar, you’re not allowed to quickly drag items you want to delete over its icon. So, this little trick is useful only if you wish to access Recycle Bin a bit faster, without having to go over to the desktop every time.

To do this, you only need to pin Recycle Bin to the Start menu by simply clicking the desktop icon and hitting the “Pin to Start” option.

After that, Recycle Bin should show up in the Start menu, just near the existing live tiles, if there are any. Once it’s there, you only need to right-click its icon and click on the “Pin to taskbar” option.

While it’s hard to understand why Microsoft hasn’t actually implemented a “Pin to taskbar” setting in the Recycle Bin main menu, it’s still a good thing that you can do that in a not-very-complicated way.

Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do right now even if you pin Recycle Bin to the taskbar, but there’s no doubt that it could really come in handy to those who want to keep an eye on the files they remove from their local hard drives.
