If you really like the Windows 10 desktop design with the Start menu, borderless windows, and new shadows, but installing technical previews isn't quite your cup of a tea, rest assured because there's a new app that can bring all of these on your Windows PC right here, right now.

The so-called Windows 10 Transformation Pack 2.0 does exactly what its name suggests: it makes your Windows installation, no matter if you're running Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 8.1, look like the new Windows 10.

So, what are going to get after deploying this app?

First and foremost, you'll get the Cortana-like search bar integrated into the taskbar and offered in build 9901 (but Cortana won't be available whatsoever), as well as the new wallpapers available for Windows Insider.

At the same time, your computer will also be tweaked with new folder icons, system tray icons, logon screen, Modern theme, and Start menu scheme to match the one in Windows 10 build 9901.

Installation is not at all difficult and the whole configuration process is performed automatically. A reboot is required once everything comes to an end.

To make sure that you are on the safe side and you can remove all files in case you're not pleased with what your desktop looks like after deploying this app, don't forget to create a backup and thus be able to restore your files without too much effort.
