The Pomodoro technique has become so popular that you can find numerous Windows apps to help you take advantage of it if in order to organize your time and ensure you are working as efficiently as possible.

YAPA, short for Yet Another Pomodoro App, is one of the options at your disposal. It can be customized to a great extent, and it comes with two themes that drastically alter its appearance and behavior.

When using the default theme, the application displays a timer on your desktop, with buttons to pause or stop the clock, as well as a period counter. It makes it easy to keep track of work and break intervals, and it can even be viewed through other application windows.

The Motivational theme is a bit different, as it displays a much smaller timer, together with a motivational quote or message. It isn’t as customizable, but you can choose between a white and dark color theme.

Depending on the theme you are using, you may be able to alter the clock’s opacity and size, choose between white and black text, enable or disable the flashing animation and specify whether the Pomodoro status should be indicated.

Naturally, you can also change the default length of the work and break intervals, and the application can trigger sound notifications and play a user-provided audio file when it is time to take a break or get back to work.

An interesting feature is the taskbar jumplist that can be used to manage the timer and access the app’s settings. When not in use, it is also possible to send the application to the system tray.

YAPA is an interesting option for users who are fans of the Pomodoro technique and wish to manage their time when using a Windows PC. It offers a number of interesting features and isn’t terribly difficult to configure.
