Godot Engine

Godot Engine is definitely an application dedicated to code enthusiasts. It was created to facilitate an easier system for allowing users to create their own games. Yes, code does still play a big role, so if you don't have the necessary skills yet, it might seem scary at first.

Regardless, I really felt this program was something in between hard, time-crushing coding on your own and those simple game creators any user can have fun with.

Now, in order to make coding as accessible as possible while not oversimplifying things, a basic interface has to be adopted. All functions are present and everything is clearly labeled in order to avoid any possible mistakes on the user's side.

You'll still have to work on an asset library and decide on 2D or 3D early on, depending on the type of game you're building.

Debug features are available, and the best part yet is the program does help the user with a couple of its suggestions from where one can start the whole game creating an adventure.

The best thing about this program, as I've previously hinted, is the included templates which can represent a learning base for you to build upon.

With this in mind, I felt there were few programs that really decided to do things this way, and as a result, I'd recommend Godot Engine for beginners trying to start from a solid base and see further where the opened road might lead.

Godot Engine is thus one of the best options for making your game creation dream come true due to its rather simple approach to game creation and the perfect mix between the more difficult coding aspect and all those other factors dealing with design and the overall resulting product.
