VOVSOFT - Batch URL Downloader

Download managers have become quite popular, for various reasons. Many of them can reduce download times, and pretty much all of them allow you to save multiple files at once. However, some of these programs may be more complex than some users would like.

Batch URL Downloader is one of the simplest applications of its kind, so it can prove to be a good alternative to overly-complex download managers. It enables you to save multiple files as part of the same job, but it offers no other features.

While this program isn’t exactly packed with features, it is worth appreciating just how simple it is to use. Essentially, all you have to do is paste a list of URLs in the text field and then click the Download All button.

The files will be saved in quick succession, and the job’s progress is displayed in the status bar. If you need to download a large number of files and wish to avoid saving them individually, this application can certainly prove helpful.

We’ve already covered all of Batch URL Downloader’s functions, which means it does not offer things like download acceleration, speed monitoring, throttling and so on.

Also, it is not possible to pause a download job and resume it at a later date. If you close the program while an operation is underway, the current download is canceled and the URL list is lost.

In the end, Batch URL Downloader isn’t going to prove very useful in most situations, though it can certainly speed up the process of downloading a large number of files from a URL list.

As a download manager, however, the application comes with no advanced features, and it doesn’t even allow you to pause and resume operations.
