Elifteg Download Manager

If you're looking for a simple and straightforward download manager capable of creating a queue of files ready for downloads, you can take a look at Elifteg Download Manager.

It's not as feature-rich as other similar software, like Internet Download Manager, Free Download Manager or EagleGet, but it's intuitive and gets the job done if you don't like using web browsers to fetch files from the web.

The tool is wrapped in a portable package, so you can double-click the .exe from the downloaded archive to reach the main window right away. Plus, you can keep Elifteg stored on a USB flash drive to effortlessly launch it on any PC for rapid file downloads.

The interface is plain and simple, where you can paste a URL to download the corresponding file. Unfortunately, Elifteg doesn't have support for clipboard live monitoring in order to automatically identify and paste URLs.

Before downloading files, you can tinker with various program settings. For example, you can instruct Elifteg Download Manager to start downloading files as soon as you paste them in this window, without further confirmation.

It can also notify you when the task is over, download the queued files in order, save them anywhere on the disk, as well as keep its window on top of others, regardless of the applications you're toggling.

The software utility worked as expected in our testing. It downloaded files swiftly and had minimal impact on system resources consumption. However, it failed in its attempts to download some files, probably due to compatibility issues with the domains (such as Microsoft), although other download managers worked without any problems.

All aspects considered, Elifteg is a modest download manager. But it's ideal for quick downloads, especially if you are trying to stay away from complex download managers and the ones integrated with web browsers.
