Luckily, applications such as YTVD allow you to grab videos and audio for offline use without a lot of hassle, so that you can enjoy your favorite media even on those occasions when an Internet connection is not available.

YTVD is extremely intuitive, providing an interface that allows one-click access to all its functions. The capabilities of this application focus on two main strengths: video downloading and video converting. Several video sharing websites are supported, among which one can find popular names, such as Vimeo, TikTok, Facebook, Dailymotion, Metacafe, the all-known YouTube, and more.

Automatic clipboard capturing allows YTVD to place video or playlist links you copy into the download queue. YTVD supports both individual video links, as well as playlist URLs and, what is more, it allows you to import entire lists of songs from CSV spreadsheets.

The main GUI also comprises a few configuration options that enable you to set the destination folder and the target format. YTVD can download videos (in MKV or MP4 format) or, alternatively, extract the audio format and save it to file in MP3, WAV or AAC format.

One feature worth mentioning is the automatic video conversion, meaning that YTVD can download a video and convert it into a format that is fully compatible with a particular device or a format. On the other hand, it is possible to perform this conversion manually afterwards as well.

The “Library” is where all the downloaded files are stored, while the “Settings” area allows you to customize the application’s behavior, clear cookies and enter credentials to be automatically saved on your favorite download sites. Please keep in mind that, although YTVD can store multiple accounts in this form, the data is not encrypted in any way, so make sure to delete it before moving forward.

YTVD is a handy video and audio downloader that works as promised but it is no different than any other application of this type. It does provide an easy-to-use GUI and high conversion speed and an integrated converter but, for instance, it lacks playback support and thumbnail preview of videos, which are two features usually found in this type of application.
