Also known as Color Vision Deficiency, color blindness is a genetic and hereditary condition that affects more than 400 million people worldwide and translates in the inability to fully process red, green and light blue.

ColorBlindClick is a straightforward and potentially useful Chrome extension that allows users that suffer from color blindness to accurately distinguish the colors from most websites.

Before we go even further, it might be a good idea to point out that ColorBlindClick also comes in the form of an iOS and Android app, therefore, if you find this extension useful, you might want to incorporate it into your day to day activities even more.

In short, this featherweight tool provides you with a small capture tool that allows you to pinpoint the colors of any pixel. The built-in extension algorithm then provides you with the most relevant color name and the percentage of similarity.

It can be installed with the least amount of trouble from the Chrome Web Store, just like most other extensions for the Google-vetted browser, with a mere click on the "ADD TO CHROME" button. Please note that it might be necessary to restart the browser after its installation, as we have discovered during our tests.

To capture a color of a pixel, simply click the extension's icon, from the right side of the address bar and you are instantly provided with a cross pointer with an attached mini-magnification tool. As mentioned before, it displays the color's name. It's either a perfect color match or a partial color match, in which case you are also provided with the exact percentage of color matching.
