Feedly Notifier for Chrome

Feedly is a popular news aggregator that provides its users with quick access to news feeds from a number of sources, making it easier to both find interesting content and keep track of recent developments.

Feedly Notifier is an extension available for Chrome, Firefox and Opera that helps you stay up-to-date when using a browser. It offers a handy unread news counter, allows you to read and preview articles, and can even display desktop notifications.

Assuming you already have a Feedly account, you only need to provide you account credentials to let the extension access your subscriptions.

If you have any unread news, the extension will display a counter to let you know how many new articles have been published.

If a new item is available from any of your subscriptions, Feedly Notifier can display a desktop alert; of course, this feature can be disabled, as many users prefer not to receive desktop notifications.

You only need to click the extension’s Chrome toolbar icon to view a list of all articles that haven’t been read. Here, you can either preview their contents or open the article in your browser. Alternatively, you can just mark them as read if they aren’t particularly interesting.

As you can see from the extensive Options page, there are numerous parameters that can be customized. For example, you can set the refresh interval, disable the counter, change the dimensions of the popup or set the maximum number of notifications.
