Google Docs Offline

Google Docs Offline is an extension for users of the Google Chrome browser that can do pretty much what its name implies, meaning allows users to enjoy the Google Docs suite while not being connected to a network.

Once connected, of course, all the data will be synched and instantly present on any other device you might be using.

The relevance of this app is especially in scenarios where you do not have a network connection, or it is weak. If you're like me and keep carrying your laptop all over the world with you, not having internet or simply having it on and off would mean working in a very chaotic manner with imposed breaks you do not need.

The offline features allow one to smoothly continue working with the help of Google Docs even in situations where you do not have a strong connection.

The only issue with this aspect and system is you need to keep in mind that everything needs to be manually synched after you do manage to get a stronger Internet connection.

In this case, the interface is less relevant since it is the functionality that is added that makes sense and helps users achieve a more productive work session.

Do keep in mind that an indicator will show if the suite is online or offline, leading you to be careful about not losing your written documents. The app itself is also great for school work and even home accounting on the go. All apps work as per usual and do not exhibit any issues or missing functions.

Google Docs Offline is one of those add-ons that should come default with the installation of the suite because it makes a lot of sense in many scenarios and allows users to enjoy more freedom. Until then, I was glad we had this add-on.
