Whenever you are surfing the internet out of boredom, you can use something that can distract you and puts a smile on your face.

A pet cat is a good play partner, but keeping one involves a lot of responsibility. But what if you had a virtual one? A cat that only stays with you when you are on the internet. Such a thing is possible through Meow, the Cat Pet.

This is a Chrome extension that makes an animated cat appear on your web browser window. The pet will then randomly walk around the screen.

If it does get in the way of what you are reading or watching, you can move it aside with your mouse cursor. Also, if you leave it alone for a while, it will start to talk to you randomly.

The cat, just like any other common pet, must be taken care of. If you click on the extension button, you will see that it has 3 stats: Happiness, Hunger and Sleepy.

In order to keep them up, you can use certain commands by right-clicking on the cat. You can make it dance so it will become happier, feed it so it won't get hungry and even put it to sleep.

As your pet is thankful for being taken care of, it will also help you with useful tips. You can set the cat to offer 3 reminders: to look away from the screen and blink for 10 seconds, to stay hydrated and to take a break from your PC.

Alternatively, if these don't suit you, you can change them so the cat can say whatever you want. And you can set frequencies for each timer, depending on how often you want to be reminded.

You do not have to be a cat person to want this cat as your internet companion. It's fun to play around with, and it also gives you friendly advice.
