Note: The Windows Chromecast App has been discontinued, and the features offered by the Google Cast browser extension have now been integrated into Chrome. In order to set up Google Cast on your PC, simply access "chrome://cast/#setup/" from Google Chrome.

There are various ways to view the content on the computer screen on larger displays such as television sets. One of the most common method is to connect the two devices through a cable and set the big screen as a second monitor.

Once all the configuration is completed the user is ready to “cast” content to the big screen. Not all applications support the “casting” feature, though, but there should be no worry about web content via Chrome browser.

A new option becomes available in the web browser, allowing the current tab to be “cast” to the Chromecast device, which, in turn, renders it on the larger display it is connected to.

Working with the Chromcast App for Windows is quite simple, thanks to the built-in assisted configuration and the integration with Chrome browser as well as other applications.
