Abyss Web Server X1

With a small footprint and low resource requirements, Abyss Web Server X1 provides a powerful web server that is capable of handling heavy workloads thanks to its support for the HTTP/2 protocol. Based on the APX architecture specifically created by its developer, the Abyss Web Server X1 promises an experience with very low chances of crashes and a minimum downtime (1 second) in case of a critical error, due to the automatic restart system.

The server is easily installed on Windows and, once started, it sits quietly in the system tray area. A configuration file is automatically created upon first launch, as stated within its main window. You can configure the web server to automatically start on user logon and install it as a Windows service as well.

The default host is running on port 80 and the web server’s console can be easily accessed via a browser, on localhost. The console prompts you to enter your preferred credentials and provides access to the main dashboard once logged in.

The console is the place where you can configure the server, manage certificates, configure hosts, monitor the server’s activity and view statistics. Setting bandwidth limits, configuring the MME types list, choosing the maximum number of simultaneous connections, the connection timeout and other such parameters are tasks that can also be perfumed via the web-based dashboard.

Abyss Web Server X1 comes with support for IPv6, secure SSL/TLS connections (HTTPS) and the HTTP/2 protocol. It can seamlessly communicate with modern browsers thanks to the HTTP compression module, ensuring reduced loading speed for your sites.

As for the language compatibility, Abyss Web Server X1 can natively run ASP.NET application and provides full support for various scripting languages, such as PHP, Perl, "Classic" ASP, Python, Ruby, Rebol and TCL.

The server supports the eXtended Server Side standard (XSSI), allowing you to create dynamic HTML pages without a scripting language. Thanks to its IDN (International Domain Names) and Unicode support, it is capable of reading URLs and names in any human language, including the ones with diacritics.  

In terms of security, the web server features options to request, self-sign and declare SSL/TLS certificates and it comes with an advanced URL decoding engine, password protection, IP address control and anti-leeching. The integrated anti-hacking module that can detect DDOS attacks and hacking attempts in due time.
