MEmu

It is quite often that we want to experience more on our PC, so much more that we're willing to create systems within systems. This is the deal with MEmu, an Android emulator that will help you check out Android features and applications from the comfort of your Windows-based machine.

What I really found interesting about this program was how clean it all looked and felt, from the installation procedure to downloading and installing apps on it.

Like all emulators out there, since they are an artificial type of environment that was created mainly for testing purposes, it can display errors at times, especially if the applications you are trying to get when using it are fussy or have very specific hardware requirements.

Regardless, these are not common occurrences, and I was intrigued by the fact that I could play one of my favorite games on my PC via this emulator. This is one particular aspect in terms of how this app should be used.

You get all the user settings you usually find in Android environments. The store comes preloaded, so access to a library full of games, apps, and services will be at your fingertip. Customization is still key even in this virtual environment, so if you want to add more style to your emulator, you are free to do so. It's also a shortcut to certain services or apps that you wouldn't find on your PC anyway.

One particular aspect I found interesting and worth testing was the use of certain apps that would otherwise be impossible to access on your Windows machine, or at least not in this form. Banking apps, just as an example, could work in theory quite well, especially since they have managed to fit better with the Android environment than any other. Whether or not it is worth it or if it poses any risk is something you'll have to think about, though.

The emulator also includes some extra ways to establish contact with the developers of the program. This way there is a direct feedback line, and I think this is something to take into consideration when working with such programs, as feedback is essential for the improvement of the product itself.
