A computer fitted the right computer applications is just what you need to effortlessly perform your work. Even audio devices can be connected in order to have better control of input and output sound. For instance, AD Sound Tools comes with a variety of options to generate audio, record, and analyze sound in real-time.

Once installed, you can bring up the main window to take a look over the set of features. Most functions are in plain sight, preventing you from wasting too much time with accommodation. There are a couple of oscilloscopes, as well as two spectrum analyzers to help view waveform of incoming sound.

The window also holds controls to generate sound and to configure the playback and recorder devices. This can also be done through default Windows configurations, which can be accessed from the Options menu. Media devices can be hooked to your computer. These can be playback devices or recorders.

All incoming audio is shown in the spectrum analyzers. The other two panels represent the oscilloscopes, which provide a better view of generated sound. There are three types of effects which can be obtained through the set of features, such as sine, white noise, and short pulses.

Types of sound you generate come with corresponding sets of controls to handle frequency, shift, and width. You can adjust audio levels in frequency for general purpose, the generator, and the recording device.

In order to check whether or not your connected media device is properly functioning and delivering sound, you can run a sine sweep test. The entire sine frequency range is put to the test, with result displayed in real-time.

A similar test can be performed, namely a spectrum averaging function. A more informative set of details is available in the microphone localization test window. Recorded sound is saved by default as WAV, but can be converted to MP3. Generated waveforms from tests are saved as BMP files.

All things considered, we can state that AD Sound Tools is definitely a reliable audio processing application. It provides accurate real-time display of generated and incoming audio, with the possibility to generate, save, and convert sound to MP3.
