Aire Freshener is a simple software tool which can play a large number of relaxing sounds, as well as audio content from CDs.

After completing an uneventful installation process, you come face to face with a plain UI, which is accessible to all user types, be they experienced or not. Aside from that, it encompasses a panel to display what is currently playing and a few playback controls, such as play, pause, stop, next and previous.

It is fairly non-obtrusive, as it goes in the system tray from the first launch, and left-clicking the icon will play or stop the last audio file.

It is possible to set up a scheduler to play or stop an environment, CD or aire chimes event, at a specified time of day. You can also choose in which day of the week to repeat this action.

Every day, a new quote is available, while it is possible to view information pertaining to the environment sounds currently playing, like file size, filename, description and copyright information.

From the settings panel you can change the skin and the icon displayed in the system tray, enable or disable tool tips, show splash screen on start, pop up quote of the day when day changes and disable the CD player.

In conclusion, Aire Freshener is a handy piece of software for people who like listening to nature sounds in order to relax. It presents a good response time, an intuitive environment and an insignificant usage of the system’s resources. However, it could use a small update.
