SoundVolumeView

As its name suggests, SoundVolumeView makes it possible for you to get information about all the sound devices on your system, as well as applications that generate sound, such as browsers. With its help, you can manage all the sound tools and the sound volume from a single place.

There is no need to install SoundVolumeView, which is one of the perks of the application. It is a portable application, so the system’s registry is not affected in any way. Moreover, you can use it on the go and launch it from any USB flash drive.

The main GUI of the application is simple, revealing a list of devices, applications and tools in a well-structured table. To put it another way, with SoundVolumeView you can view all the devices or apps that are currently paying a sound on the system. Alongside the name of the application, you can see its type, direction, the device name and other similar details.

Moreover, you can use SoundVolumeView to get specific information about general specifications of the devices, such as the volume it can reach (in decibels), the device state, the maximum and the minimum volume, as well as other details related to channels, the volume step and the process path and ID.

Muting or disabling an item is possible and so is setting the default devices for playback, communication and console. The information displayed in this table can be easily exported to various formats, including CSV, HTMl, XML or text.
