Turbosnap is a small application that enables you to capture your full desktop or active window using a pre-defined set of keys.

The installation is a quick and forthright process that do not take too much time or needs special attention from your part. The program comes with a rugged and outdated interface, but that is nonetheless intuitive and unlikely to give you any troubles.

It is worth mentioning that the app displays the last screenshot or can exhibit a message that no image is currently snapped, if you are running it for the first time. Unfortunately, the tool cannot be maximized to fullscreen and you need to use the arrows to check out the result, an aspect that can be problematic when you capture your full desktop.

As previously mentioned, the application has two main functions, namely capturing the desktop and snapping the active window. It would have been nice if the program allowed you to also grab the desired section on the screen. At the same time, while you can find out the key combination to perform these actions, you cannot change them.

On the other hand, the app permits you to copy the capture to the clipboard so that you can use it easily with other applications or projects. Moreover, the app automatically saves the images to the desired location on your hard disk so you do not have to worry too much about it.

In the eventuality that you need to capture your screen or several active windows for various projects you are working on and you do not need a simple tool with auto-save, then perhaps Turbosnap might be worth a try.
