Paint app

Paint app, like the name suggests, is a simplistic sketch program that resembles Microsoft Paint in a much more simplistic approach or fashion. Apart from the portability factor, there are no other reasons to indulge in using this particular piece of software. It's unfortunately beyond unusable as it features serious bugs.

The first issue you'll notice, once the application is launched, is the fact that the buttons in the toolbar are all useless with the exception of the color palette. This bug will render the application pretty useless, as saving your creation will become more difficult than it should actually be. Still, if carrying around a portable Paint clone on your USB stick is what you want, then this can be quite easily done. The app won't take too much of your space, and running it is fast and easy.

The only available tools, apart from the earlier mentioned color palette, are a line, a rectangle, and a pencil instrument. With these three particular elements, you're free to fill the blank canvas underneath the toolbar. One can also adjust the line width of whatever shape is being drawn. Round corners are going to be a nightmare to draw in this application as there are no easy ways to achieve roundness by using straight lines.

For quick scribbles, the application does handle itself well, but since saving is impossible due to the earlier exposed bug, you'll have to either snap a screenshot or simply give up altogether on using this application. A debug version is provided most likely for individuals who'd like to add their own touch to this app or for users who wish to help in detecting potential bugs and errors.

Paint app is unfortunately a barely useable application. There are many alternatives, paid and free, that can offer so much more for about the same number of bytes. Unless you really fancy using this portable Paint copy, there is no other reason to waste your precious time with this program.
