PictureCropper

PictureCropper is a lightweight and useful tool that enables you to crop images or cut out slices of them in order to use them as mobile device background, as thumbnails or for other purposes. You can easily set the height and width of the new photo, as well as the output directory and the process can be performed in a few clicks.

The software enables you to select the new height and width of the cropped images manually or select the type of mobile device you wish to use them on. The software can recognize the size of the screen for the available mobile devices and set the dimensions automatically.

You can zoom in or out on the input photo, in order to frame a detail, respectively include more elements, when creating a thumbnail or a mobile device screen background. Moreover, you can choose between good compression and weak image quality, or, good visual quality but large file. Simply slide the button and set the preferred options.

If you specify the input folder, the software can identity the supported image formats and display them in a list on the right. You can open them and apply the adjustments as you see fit. The results are saved in the previously mentioned output directory.

Set the cropped image dimensions or use the automatically generated frame in order to select areas on the photo and save them as image slices. The process is speedy and convenient, since the new images are saved automatically, without dialog boxes or progression bars appearing on the screen.

The output files are renamed automatically, the new title consisting of the old name and an incremental number, in order to avoid overwriting.

PictureCropper is a useful and easy to operate program, designed to create thumbnails or mobile device screen backgrounds in a short time and with a few simple clicks. The software is user-friendly and it enables you to set the new photo dimensions manually or it can generate them automatically, depending on the type of mobile device they are destined for.
