ViewNX-i

ViewNX-i is an advanced piece of software that allows you to view, manage and edit the pictures and movies you took with a Nikon or other digital cameras.

After a quick setup, you are welcomed by an appealing and sleek interface that you can personalize according to your needs and preferences. The interface is comprised of three panels, one that facilitates navigating through the folders, the viewing area and the tools panes.

While the application includes a transfer tool that permits you to grab the videos and photos from your Nikon camera, you will be happy to learn that you can manage photos stored on your computer without too much hassle.

You should know that the later is comprised of several smaller panels that are crowded closely together and that can make editing the photos rather challenging. In case you need to make several modifications to dozens of photos, it is recommended that you do it in the Edit tab for better visibility.

The utility allows you to browse, organize and assign labels or rate the photos with just one click. The app enables you to modify the exposure, sharpness, brightness, contrast or white balance. You can also crop photos and remove red eyes, two functions that have become the standard for digital picture editing.

A further noteworthy feature of the program is that you can create slideshows from the albums, an option that can be particularly useful after you return from a vacation or an important event. Unfortunately, if you only want to convert the pictures, you just have two options, namely JPEG and TIFF.
