VOVSOFT - Photos to Video

Photos to Video can merge a collection of photos into a single slideshow having background music of your choice. Although simple, this lightweight application can come in handy when you are trying to generate slideshows out of a bunch of images.

The main window of Photos to Video features a simple layout that makes it intuitive and easy to get around. You can add the photos you want to process in the dedicated area. All the popular graphic formats are supported.

Please note that you will have to place the photos exactly in the order you want them to appear in the slideshow, as there is no option to change the order once the list is complete.

Moving further, you must browse for the audio file you want the application to attach to the resulting clip as background music. Please note that only MP3 and WAV files are supported.

Additional settings enable you to configure the time interval to show each image in the slideshow and set the destination directory where the output video clip will be saved. Photos to Video features several compatible output formats, namely AVI, MP4, FLV, MOV, and MPEG.

As Photos to Video does its job, you will discover it relies on FFmpeg to perform the merger and the conversion. You can check that the input files are read correctly, including the audio files to use as background music.

All the steps the application performs are displayed in the log area so you can see possible errors and their source. Mostly, it is not a complicated tool, but it might happen sometimes that the conversion fails or that not all the input photos are included in the slideshow.
