Aimersoft Video Editor is a simple-to-use application which allows you to split and join video clips of multiple formats, such as AVI, MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV and VOB.

The interface of the program is clean and pretty simple to work with. Video clips can be imported via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is unsupported.

When it comes to file splitting, you can check out the title, start and end time, along with duration of the clip. You can preview videos in a built-in media player and trim them by marking the start and end position, into equal-sized sections or by custom time or size.

Once you specify the output destination, you can proceed with the cutting task. Plus, you can view file properties and simultaneously split multiple fragments from the same clip. The merging process is similar. Here you can read the source name, size, resize mode, length and estimated size of each file.

You can join video clips of different formats and convert the output clip to a preferred extension, as well as configure audio and video settings when it comes to the size, resize mode, resolution, frame rate, bit rate, sample frequency rate and channel mode. Options can be restored to default. During conversion you can enable the tool to automatically turn off the computer or to open the output directory when the task is done.

The video processing tool runs on a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, takes reasonable time to complete a task and manages to keep a good image and sound quality. No errors have occurred during our tests and Aimersoft Video Editor did not freeze or crash. Plus, you can look into a well-drawn help file with snapshots. We highly recommend this tool to all users.
