jetVideo Basic

jetVideo is a straightforward media player that supports multiple formats, including AVI, ASF, WMV, MP4, WMA, MP3, OGG, WAV, RM and DVD videos. It can be easily handled, even by less experienced users.

The interface of the media player is slick and uncomplicated. Media files can be imported by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method.

You can use basic functions, such as pause and stop, navigate back and forth within the stream, adjust the volume and switch to full screen mode.

But you can also create a playlist, play CDs and DVDs, enable repeat mode, go frame by frame, change the screen size and aspect ratio, adjust the speed and configure an equalizer.

jetVideo also lets you apply sound effects (e.g. crossfade), load subtitles and configure their options, as well as customize DirectShow properties. The tool can be set to stay on top of other applications or to minimize to the system tray.

The media player requires a moderate amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs during our tests. We have not come across any issues. jetVideo is certainly a tool to be taken into consideration as a basic media player. Its intuitive interface makes its features easy to figure out, whether you have worked with similar apps before or not.
