iReasoning MIB Browser

iReasoning MIB Browser provides a convenient method for you to explore Management Information Bases (in short, MIBs), manage SNMP devices and issue SNMp requests to be sent to the SNMP agent. Relying on the SNMP API created by iReasoning, this application can be of great help to engineers who work with SNMP-enabled devices.

While its interface is, indeed, user-friendly, this application does not address beginners. The first thing to do is fill in the IP address and the port number of the SNMP agent. Hit the “Go” button to send a “GET” request against the host and view information about both the agent and the SNMP MIBs. There are also other operations you can perform, available in a drop-down menu.

The MiB tree is revealed, allowing you to explore all the categories, displaying the result tables in the right-side panel. Here, you can see the name and the OID, values, types, as well as IP addresses and port numbers. The context menu enables you to export the data to CSV or XML format for later use and reference, expand the current subtree or search for a specific keyword.

iReasoning MIB Browser also features a built-in trap receiver that can receive SNMP traps and handle trap storms. The receiver practically listens to SNMP requests and notifies the managing system of an event. As mentioned before, there are several operations available and you can easily switch between ‘Get Next’, ‘Get’, ‘Get Subtree’, ‘Walk’, ‘Set’ or ‘Table View’.

You can also use iReasoning MIB Browser to manage SNMP users and compare devices. For your convenience, it also features additional networking functions, such as ping, trace route, a port viewer and mapper and network discovery tools.
