Record your clipboard history with this simple program that keeps track of all the text and images that you copy over time and saves that information for you to access later. #Clipboard History #Clipboard Enhancer #Record Clipboard #Clipboard #Record #History
Copying and pasting information is an integral part of life for absolutely anyone who uses a computer. It’s probably also one of the most basic operations upon which today’s light-speed information flow relies. But during this process, a lot of information is also lost.
Not every time you copy something do you also remember to paste it. And when you copy something else, then the previous information gets overwritten in your clipboard. So this is why a program like ClipboardWatcher can be an extremely useful tool for keeping track of your copying history.
Though I have to admit that I’m enchanted by the tones of green that the developer used to design the user interface, ClipboardWatcher is, objectively speaking, nothing fancy. This is also a very good thing, because it means it’s a very easy-to-use tool. You just copy a text and it will appear listed in the Text tab. Then you can copy that text again with the Ctrl+C command if you need it for something else.
ClipboardWatcher won’t record any files or file paths that you copied, but it will store image content. This means that, for example, if you go to a photo editor and copy a certain selection from a picture, the program will store it. Surprisingly, you have more options with images than you do with pieces of text. You can rename them, edit them and delete them directly from the interface.
Remember that you can always access all the archives of your clipboard by going to the History tab. The only way to find something specific is by setting a filter according to the date. While this is definitely better than nothing, you have to take into account that you will probably copy hundreds of pieces a text per day. A search function in the History tab would have been more than welcome.
But apart from that, ClipboardWatcher is still a helpful app, and the facts that it’s free, lightweight and stays in your system tray make it a good choice for many users.
