Speak Up

Speak Up is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping users covert text messages to audio files.

It sports a clean and straightforward layout that allows users to set up the dedicated parameters with minimum effort.

Speak Up gives you the possibility to edit the text message directly from the primary panel, paste it from other third-party utilities, or upload the information from RTF, DOC, or plain text files.

What’s more, you can alter the volume, adjust the speech speed pretty easily, thanks to its built-in slider (from slow to fast), and choose between an English or American voice.

Other notable characteristics worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to clear the entire workspace with just one click, undo or redo your actions, and customize the text messages in terms of font and size.

Speak Up comes packed with several dedicated tools built specifically for helping you use a built-in reader from where users can enable the repeating mode, perform translation operations based on Google algorithm, as well as enable the speech recognizer option.

Last but not least, you can save the edited text to RTF or plain text format, use hotkeys for a better control over the entire process, and save the audio stream to MP3 file format.

During our testing we have noticed that the tool provides very good audio quality, carries out a task very quickly, and without errors throughout the entire process. It doesn’t put a lot of stress on CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
