Doc Converter

Doc Converter is a simple tool that converts only PDF documents to Word format, DOCX. While the app's name might suggest that a plethora of document types are supported, that is not the case. Who is this app is catering to? In short, it's aimed at users who wish to convert their PDFs on their local machine, avoiding uploading their work to the web just for a brief conversion process.

The UI has a modern look to it, and it can take as many documents as you can throw at it. However, even if it takes multiple documents, it won't batch-convert them. Single file conversion is the only way to go with this app.

To migrate a PDF to DOCX, you must first select an item from the comprised list. That will cause the Convert button to light up. Click it and choose the output selection to wrap things up.

Despite having a functional toolbar, there isn't really an available tool to work with. Besides opening documents and closing the app, there is a single functional full screen feature, yet shifting the UI to full screen can be done by either dragging the corners of the UI, or bu clicking the maximize button.

In short, Doc Converter focuses mainly on migrating your PDFs to DOCX and nothing else. Simplicity is not a downside, but this app looks like it could do more, just with a couple of changes here and there, especially in regard to a bulk conversion process and maybe a dark background theme option.

To sum it up, Doc Converter looks like a capable tool for converting PDF documents to MS Word's DOCX. Still, having the possibility to add multiple files but not convert them all at once is a bit of a downside, considering the app comes with a price tag.
