Screen Melt

Screen Melt is a lightweight application that was developed in order to help computer users who are keen on making pranks fool their friends into believing that their computer screens are melting before their eyes.

The concept behind this application is that you need to deploy it on the target computer first and configure a waiting time (in a fashion that's similar to how screensavers operate) before the screen starts to melt.

It is widely known that screensavers, aside from their role in decorating users' workspaces so that they don't become bored of looking at the same static wallpaper over and over again, can offer users a protection feature in order to protect their monitors from the infamous CRT burn-in by looping the same animation over and over again on their screens.

However, if you're looking for such a tool that can prolong the life of your monitor, then Screen Melt is not the one for you. Although it can be configured in a way that's similar to how a screensaver is adjusted, it offers you no protection from the effects of screen burn-in. This tool was only designed for harmless pranks from one computer user to another.
