If you are a practicing Muslim, then we don’t need to tell you about the importance of prayer. While praying time is easy to keep when you are in the Middle East or an Islamic country, the same cannot be said when you travel or live abroad.

Muezzin is a desktop application that provides you with the accurate praying times throughout the day. It is also available for macOS and Linux.

After a swift installation, you are welcome by the Home page that displays the countdown to all the mandatory prayers of the day. On the very top of the home page, the app shows the timer left for the next prayer along with the current time and date. Once it is time for prayer, the app informs you via notification and with sound.

It is worth mentioning that the app allows you to choose whether you prefer to play the Adhan, but you can also import other audio files with the prayers you prefer. Another important feature is that you can set your location, so you will know the correct praying time for your location. Then again, if you feel that the times are still not accurate, then you can make modifications by yourself from the Adjustment tab in Settings.

In addition to the multiple mandatory praying time countdowns, the application also packs the Qur’an in Arabic. If you ever need to check information from the holy book, you can do so conveniently from the application.

The Qur’an can be customized so that it is easy to read from the Settings where you can change the font and add translation to your native language. According to the developer, the app currently supports 10 different languages, but he plans to add more in the future.
