Perfecto Encryptor

To keep personal information away from prying eyes, it's necessary to turn to a software solution that specializes in file encryption. Such a program is Perfecto Encryptor. It's designed to encrypt files and folders, and it also has a password manager.

It gets installed quickly and with minimum effort. However, you should make sure to have .NET Framework installed since it cannot work without this software framework. Wrapped in an attractive and intuitive interface, the application is easy to handle, even by users who haven't previously operated file encryption software.

The main window has three tabs for separately encrypting files and folders, as well as managing passwords. Perfecto Encryptor provides you with four security algorithms to choose from, each explained in detail: AES, Triple DES, DES, and RC2.

The entire procedure is very simple: indicate the file to encrypt (source), the location of the new, encrypted file (output), and the password. You can ask the tool to delete the original file as soon as the task is successfully completed (so there's no risk of leaving behind unprotected data), as well as to send the password to you via email.

The same steps can be taken for folder encryption and decryption. By default, Perfecto Encryptor saves all passwords within the UI, so that you can easily view and manage them. However, this can be disabled if you fear that someone might be looking over your shoulder.

The program left a small footprint on system resources in our tests. Unfortunately, the unregistered version doesn't give users the possibility to actually encrypt files in order to explore its functionally fully. It doesn't really bring anything new to the table, considering the amount of file encryption tools available out there, but Perfecto Encryptor is easy to work with and has a good-looking interface.
