Portable RecentX

Portable RecentX is an intuitive piece of software that comes in handy for everyone who wants to gain access to the most recent documents, folders or websites with minimum effort. It helps you save up the time you would've lost by browsing complex and long hard drive directories.

It's wrapped in a modern and easy-to-use interface, consisting of a window divided into five distinct tabs, namely "Files", "Folders", "Programs", "Websites" and "Clipboard". Each panel displays all the recent records, which can be reopened with one click.

A floating small toolbar is displayed when the program is minimized to the system tray. Plus, the utility doesn't require any installation in order to run and can be launched from an external drive at any given time.

It only shows the files and folders that are important to you, by eliminating the trivial ones. The items are displayed in a clean list with their name, location path/URL and the date when they were modified.

Plus, from the context menu, you can open the files, folders or websites, assign tags (useful for filtering the data), view the file properties and run a command. From the "Advanced" menu, you have the choice to configure the hotkeys for each category (webpages, files, folders) and the indexed drive.

Last but not least, it's possible to enable the tool to launch at startup, show the icon in the systray and the desktop sidebar, as well as pin the app on top of other windows.
