Portable ASTRA32

You may find some information about your system through My Computer and dxdiag, but for the more discerning individuals out there, it's clearly not enough. Thankfully, several utilities exist to provide users with thorough data about their machines.

One such utility is Portable ASTRA32, a program capable of displaying comprehensive information about one's system without needing to be installed.

Thanks to the app not requiring any installation, you only have to unpack it, then boot up the executable. The System Summary screen will then greet you, offering a condensed version of the information about your computer.

The window summarily displays data about your processor, motherboard, memory, storage, video, sound, and operating system. What's nice about it is that such information is usually of primary interest: info about the processor multiplier, cache, motherboard, and memory modules is always useful to know.

If you want to delve deeper, tabs for each of the components are accessible through the left panel of the interface: comprehensive details about your motherboard, processor, BIOS, memory modules, storage, among other things, can be found this way.

If you wanted to have the information provided in this program in a text file or something of the sort, the Reports feature provides that. Through the Report Wizard, users can export the data found by the app as a text file, but there are even more options: .ini, HTML, XML, and even CSV formats are supported for exporting.

The option to not include any private data is also available, so users can rest easy knowing that nothing personal appears in the document. It's also possible to export only a summary report, which merely goes into the essentials of your system.
