Developers who frequently use only portions of their machine-codes, called snippets, which can be incorporated into larger programming units, might require an efficient way to easily synchronize such re-usable codes between different platforms, operating systems or even network locations.

CodeDogg is an application that was created in order to offer people the means to manage their code snippets in a hierarchical tree structure. Not only this, but it will allow them to achieve an improved workflow, by synchronizing their code snippets between different platforms, OSs or even servers.

In doing so, users will be able to migrate or copy their snippets from their home PCs to their workplace machines and vice versa, this way avoiding the cumbersome task of sending them in dedicated code files and use FTP services, file upload websites, email messages or other means.

Being deployed as a standalone .AIR file, CodeDogg has as its main prerequisite, the Adobe AIR package, which users will need to have installed on the PC where they wish to deploy it.

Offering a standard interface with a classic editor-like layout, the application provides a large text input area and an adjacent side panel which can be used for managing the different snippets into corresponding directories.

By using the dedicated folder tree, people can organize their snippets better, this way avoiding confusion when handling them. Provided that they have created a CodeDogg account, they will then be able to connect to it and send their snippets to the Cloud and other machines over a network.
