Image2DXF

The AutoCAD DXF format has been quite popular over the years, as it facilitates interoperability between AutoCAD and various other CAD applications. It is supported by most specialized software.

Image2DXF is a straightforward program designed to help you convert any image file to this versatile format. It renders each pixel in the source file as a TRACE object in the generated DXF.

After completing the straightforward installation process, you can launch the application using the desktop icon. You will be greeted by a minimalistic UI, and you can click the “Load image” button to add the file you wish to convert.

The program lets you preview the image before performing any conversions. In the status bar, you are also shown the exact dimensions of the picture.

To convert the image, simply click the “Save to DXF” button. The file will be saved in the same folder as the source picture, and it is not possible to export it to another location.

It is clear that Image2DXF was designed to be as user-friendly as possible, as it doesn’t come with any advanced features. You can convert an image in seconds and get back to whatever you were doing.

It is also worth noting that the application does not support batch conversion. If you need to process a large number of images, the operation might take a while, especially since the program does not let you add files using drag and drop.

While the user interface may look a bit outdated, the program will get the job done. If you need a simple, lightweight utility that lets you convert various types of images to DXF with just a few mouse clicks, Image2DXF is definitely an option to consider.
