A powerful calculator with an attached tape recorder to save all operations, which can then be exported to TXT, hotkey support, and different color schemes. #Math calculation #Science calculator #Make calculation #Calculator #Calculate #Calculation
Math operations are a pain, regardless of the purpose they’re used for. However, this is mostly because of the time, and effort required to get them right, but relying on specialized applications like Moffsoft FreeCalc can make everything more comfortable. With an intuitive design, and history tracker, the application is sure to impress.
The application gets installed before you realize, with the possibility to have it launched afterwards. It comes in a resizable window, with all sections accordingly stretching to fit, without losing any of the visual quality. This comes in handy, because making buttons large enhances practicality when used with touch-enabled screens.
Split into two sections, one of them provides the set of required controls, while the tracker tape saves every result. In case history of operations is of little to no importance to you, there’s the possibility to hide the tape. What’s more, you can choose from several different color themes.
Needless to say that one of the input methods is through the provided set of controls. However, the application comes with hotkeys support. The list of buttons can be brought up for close inspection, but it mostly involves the numpad, and several others for different functions. These can’t be changed, but are pretty intuitive.
The list of operations at your disposal might not meet all demands. This is because you only get to work with a basic calculator, consisting of operators like add, subtract, divide, multiply, percentage, and square root, without a built-in scientific component.
In case the tape is kept in sight, all results appear there, apart from the regular field. The tape can’t be edited, but there is an option to save as a TXT file after a long set of operators, and have selections, or entire content copied so you manually import it elsewhere.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Moffsoft FreeCalc manages to live up to expectations, especially because of the tape component, which saves all operation history, and can be then exported as TXT. Although there’s no scientific component, it comes with a variety of visual styles, hotkey support, and can run automatically when Windows starts.
