Construction site managers, full-time professional builders or self-proclaimed engineers who handle plans and sheets from multiple sites or buildings can have a hard time keeping things organized. PlanGrid is a piece of software that was developed to overcome and avoid such issues, and it will offer a set of tools for managing construction site data, perform edits on plans, attach reports and share all the information in a multi-user environment, across several platforms.

The application is based on several, hierarchical levels, which encompass a broad spectrum in terms of tools for inputting, editing, handling and sharing construction plans data. Starting from the lower level, users will be able to add multiple projects and keep track of them into a dedicated manager.

Each project can be viewed distinctly, and a plethora of potential aspects are covered by the app. One can see the assigned sheets (containing building plans), manage each of the different tasks for all participants or even add and view corresponding reports.

In terms of available options, the app offers an almost exhaustive number of features for each of its separate compartments, and we failed to find the lack of any extra features. Each sheet can be edited individually, just like into a CAD-type environment, but to a more markup-oriented extent.

Photographs for each project can be attached, with descriptions and on-screen indicators and other relevant documents can be assigned as well. Even more, all the processes can be registered into a log, which can be later on published for providing insight to other participants.
