Steganos LockNote is a lightweight, straightforward and open-source tool that allows you to write notes in a secured environment. It can be easily handled, even by less experienced individuals.

This is a portable app, so installing Steganos LockNote is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.

What's more important is that the Windows registry does not receive new entries and no leftover files can be found after deleting the program.

We have not come across any issues during our tests; Steganos LockNote did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs.
