Recover your iTunes backup password with this simple application that also allows you to remove backup encryption settings and the screen time password from your iOS device. #Recover Password #Backup Password #Remove Encryption #ITunes #Password #Backup
If you own an iPhone or an iPad, then you already know that you can easily backup your device directly on your PC by using no other than the all-mighty multipurpose music player, iTunes. Naturally, it’s recommended that you also add a password to your backup, to make sure than no one can access it with ease.
But what if you forget that password? You could go on with your life and give up on the idea of restoring your device through that backup file, or you could try to somehow crack the password. There are programs that can actually do that, and 4uKey – iTunes Backup is one of them.
Donning a minimalistic and easy-to-use interface, 4uKey – iTunes Backup isn’t too different from the many applications of its kind. Its function – that of retrieving your backup password – can be achieved using one of three possible methods.
The first method is the dictionary attack, which you should use only if you’re sure that your password is a word that you could find, well, in a dictionary. The brute force attack is the most powerful of the three and sees the program throw everything it’s got at the password until it gives up and finally reveals its identity. Finally, there’s the “brute force with mask attack” where you get to contribute with clues (approximate password length, was it all numbers or all letters, prefix and/or suffix, anything that you remember might help).
Apart from the ability to recover your iTunes backup password, the program can also disable iTunes backup encryption settings from your device, but can also remove your Screen Time passcode (if you previously set one and forgot it). This will enable you to access the Screen Time feature and see how much time you or your child spends using certain apps.
While 4uKey – iTunes Backup is nothing out of the ordinary, it can be a useful tool if you keep forgetting various passwords for your iOS device.
