Recovery Toolbox for Access is an application that enables you to retrieve corrupted Access database files. The operation works on documents that have been infected by computer viruses or have been exposed to any other kind of corruption. The program analyzes your file and searches for any recoverable data that matches the supported format.

You can restore both MDB and ACCDB databases created in Microsoft Access 2003 or later. The recovery process can bring back tables, indexes, queries and relations between tables, but it cannot recover forms, macros, modules or password protected files. It also lacks the ability to recover encrypted documents.

Before you begin the recovery process and export the restored database, you can use Recovery Toolbox for Access to preview the tables, queries and relations available in the file. The table fields and indexes are also visible and everything that is present here is also present in the recovered document. As you might expect, you cannot edit any data during this operation.

One of the major advantages of the application is the fact that it does not require you to have Access installed to perform the recovery, since all you need to have is the MDB or ACCDB file. This enables you to use it on any computer without having to install the rather large Microsoft utility.
