To begin with, you need to set up the Vembu BDR Backup Server, which can interface with all of the available backup modules. The required components, such as MySQL and MongoDB, are downloaded and installed automatically, and you only need to configure certain parameters.

Once installed, the server can be accessed from the Vembu BDR Suite Server Web UI using a standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. All the available components can then be deployed from the web portal.

The server can interface with the Vembu VMBackup, Vembu ImageBackup and Vembu NetworkBackup client/proxy agents. After deploying any of these applications, you only need to provide the backup server’s IP address, and then configure the operations to be performed.
