MiniCopier

MiniCopier is a Java-based utility designed for complex file copy operations. It puts a basket at your disposal for dropping files and folders from various locations before transferring them to the same directory.

The installation procedure is fast and the only notable aspect is that you need Java. The tool gets launched in a user-friendly interface, which consists of a single window with a basket for placing files and folders, and a box for indicating the directory. The copy job is automatically triggered when specifying the destination, so make sure to leave that part for last.

Before proceeding with the job, you may explore the default configuration and make any necessary adjustments. For example, in case the target files already exist, MiniCopier can be instructed to skip the items, overwrite them, or overwrite only if older, or cancel the whole task. Otherwise, it may prompt you for action on each conflict.

It's also possible to limit the file transfer speed to favor system resources consumption, follow or ignore symbolic links (Unix systems only), view lists with all transfers and failed items, as well as pause copy jobs. The original directory structure is preserved when dropping folders into the copy basket.

File transfer tasks were carried out swiftly in our tests, during which the program remained light on system resources usage. We haven't come across any stability issues, since it didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. On the other hand, it didn't show any information in the transfers list.
