Qsel

Qsel is a software tool which provides users with a simple means of launching other programs or files, by placing a tray on the desktop.

Going through the installation process is not a necessity, as this utility is portable. As a result, the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to receive any updates, and no leftovers will remain on the hard disk after its removal.

You should also keep in mind that if you place the program files to a USB flash drive or other similar removable storage device, you can take Qsel anywhere with you and run it on any PC with ease.

It enables you to keep your desktop clean by creating a window which encompasses all your most-used or favorite items, which in turn can be opened by simply double-clicking their icon. From the configuration panel, you can easily add new items, by providing appropriate information, such as path, parameters, directory, text and method of running (e.g. minimized, normal).

It is also possible to categorize them, insert separators and delete previously-created entries. The background color and font type, size and style used in the main window can be changed with just a few clicks. You can set up the application to launch at Windows startup, you can place it in the system tray and hide the title bar.

Qsel does not burden the system’s performance, as the CPU and memory usage is insignificant at all times. Help contents are supported, the interface is suitable to both beginners and highly experience people, and all jobs are completed in due time.
