Battery Logger is an easy-to-use software program that monitors and records your notebook's battery life. You can use it for testing and diagnosing purposes.

The installation procedure is a fast and easy job that shouldn't give you any trouble. The only notable aspect is that .NET Framework must be installed in order for Battery Logger to work properly.

As soon as it runs, the app gets integrated into the taskbar notifications area and starts to silently monitor your battery's life, without interrupting your regular PC activity. It's sent there on minimization.

The tool doesn't put emphasis on the graphical elements within the main configuration panel. In fact, the window looks rudimentary, making Battery Logger seem like an unfinished project. On the other hand, it's quite easy to navigate.

Log details can be examined in the first pane, so you can find out the time, date, type of activity, and current battery capacity for each important battery event. In the second pane you can check out a graph with the battery's evolution over time when it comes to its capacity. The monitor can be stopped at any time with one click, while logging information can be cleared.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the software application didn't hang, crash or prompt error dialogs. It left a small footprint on system resources, since it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly.

On the other hand, Battery Logger comes equipped with just a handful of features and its interface needs a lot of work. We must also keep in mind that it hasn't been updated for considerable time.
